Western Maritime Academy: Training & Educations
The entire training program has been developed in close cooperation with the shipping industry, with an eye on future demands related to human resource development. More courses are under study, combining theoretical and practical training designed to meet the IMO STCW 2010 and ILO conventions. WMA is essentially an international learning institution operated by teaching staff all composed of seagoing experienced and experienced lecturers. Most of the lecturers are senior merchant marine officers who have alternating.
Pre-sea Training-Deck & Engineering
Western Maritime Academy - is offering 2 Years Pre-Sea Course as well as providing 100% Sea Placements for successful trained Cadets.The career in the Nautical Science department leads to becoming the Captain or Master of the vessel. The nautical department is responsible for the safe navigation and cargo operation of the merchant vessel.The career in the Maritime Science (Engineering) Department leads to the rank of ‘Chief Engineer’ of the vessel. The engine department is responsible for the technical department of the merchant vessel.

- Higher Secondary Certificate examination passed in Science with GPA of not less than 3.5 in both HSC and SSC examination
- Shall have both physics and mathematics in both HSC and SSC level with grade ‘A’
- Shall have a minimum of grade ‘B’ in English language in both HSC and SSC
